<p>Sergio Rasmann von der Universität de Neuchâtel entdeckte 2005, dass E-BCP von Maispflanzen abgesondert wird, wenn Fraßfeinde (z.&nbsp;B. <a href="Maiswurzelbohrer" class="mw-redirect" title="Maiswurzelbohrer">Maiswurzelbohrer</a>) deren Wurzeln anfressen.
